Our Story
Cherubs in the Home started in Melbourne in 2005 as ‘Home help for busy people’.
Helping others has been at the heart of Cherubs in the Home since the beginning, and this focus has continued and strengthened since new ownership started operating Melbourne in 2018. Our Brisbane branch also started in 2018 as a response to a growing number of enquiries.
Due to the increased need for home and garden support from insurance agencies, including NDIS and home support for aged-care, we have grown and adapted to provide a more flexible support.
We continue to learn and seek to understand the experience of the people we support to provide the best service we can, by ‘putting heart in your home and garden’.
We’re a small company, operating in Melbourne and Brisbane, delivering home cleaning and yard maintenance services.
We believe that everyone deserves a safe, clean and inspiring home that allows you to be at your best. We also understand that every home is as unique as the people that live in it. So, your home and garden services should be tailored to suit your needs.
We are caring and invest time in getting to know you, to find out how we can help you best. We believe in ongoing improvement, based on education, experience and feedback.
Nikki
Director Brisbane Division
Nikki and Joaquin (Jack) are the owners/directors of Cherubs in the Home Queensland. They started the business in 2018, with Nikki cleaning and Jack gardening.
Realising the need for client-centred services in the NDIS and Aged-care industries, Cherubs has grown with this in mind. We are so grateful to now have a wonderful team of caring people around us, in our office and out in the community – we couldn’t do what we do without them.
Nikki comes from a varied background, from massage therapist to aged-care worker and English language teacher. She has a degree in International Studies and loves learning about cultures and languages. Nikki also loves to bake and crochet (yes, really!).
‘Jack’ Joaquin
Director Brisbane Division
Originally from Argentina, Jack made Australia home in 2013. He has a background in Tourism Management and loves spreadsheets!
He’s seen the changes we can all bring when working for the community and finds every day very rewarding.
He’s a real ‘Jack’ of all trades and loves using his skills to make a difference to others.
Karen
Director Melbourne Division
Karen is the owner/director of Cherubs in the Home in Melbourne. After purchasing the business in 2018 it has been her goal to continue to improve the business by listening to the needs of client’s and offering flexible services. She is grateful for the team in the office and out in the community that work with kindness and a caring attitude every day.
Karen has owned and operated a couple of different businesses and worked in the corporate world at the management level. She returned to studies in 2012 studying for a Masters of Business and continues to thrive on learning. Karen believes her 3 children have been, and continue to be, her greatest life teachers. Karen loves to travel, gardening, visit art galleries, markets, cook for family and friends and spend time in nature.
‘Dani’ Danicca
Admin Officer Melbourne
Dani is a passionate and goal-driven woman who enjoys taking on new challenges. She is the newest member of the team in Melbourne having joined Cherubs in June 2022. She formerly worked for an NDIS service provider, giving her substantial knowledge and experience in the NDIS sphere. Dani constantly strives to treat NDIS participants with love, respect and kindness.
On a personal note, she is a young lady who believes in hard work – if you want something in life, you gotta earn it. She loves watching movies, reading books, sometimes cooking and sewing clothes. Overall, Dani loves to take care of herself because she believes that in order to take care of others, you need to take care of yourself first.
Davina
HR/Marketing Melbourne
Davina applies her Degrees in Marketing and Management by effectively branding Cherubs in the Home into the world of online marketing. With her experience in HR, she is also able to successfully recruit new cleaners. Davina enjoys building relationships with new candidates and is always available for assistance – not only throughout the recruitment process, but during their time with Cherubs.
When she is not working, Davina loves spending time with her family and baking up a storm!
She loves working with the Cherubs team and enjoys the odd challenge and satisfaction that comes with the job.

Erika
Admin Officer Brisbane
Erika is our ever-enthusiastic Administration Officer and she joined our team in September 2020. With broad experience working in both hospital and private practice settings, Erika has a strong interest in customer service and clients and their well-being. She loves coming to work, as she feels she’s making a positive difference in other people’s lives.
Originally from South Africa, Erika and her family made Australia their new home in 2008. In her spare time, Erika enjoys baking, walking, and spending time with her family and two staffies.
